National Cleanup Workshop

Join us Sept. 23-26 at the Marriott Crystal Gateway in Arlington, Virginia. In cooperation with the Department of Energy and the Energy Facilities Contractors Group (EFCOG), this annual event addresses progress in the clean-up of the nation’s Manhattan Project and Cold War nuclear weapons program.

Now in its tenth year, the Manhattan Project National Historical Park commemorates the legacy of the massive research and development efforts during World War II. Three sites managed by the National Park Service and DOE explore the people, places and culture of the country’s nuclear history.

The initiative aims to attract and retain the best talent for future cleanup tasks. This effort brings together the federal government, private sector contractors and local leaders to cooperate in meeting EM/DOE’s mission and to strengthen surrounding communities with training and employment opportunities.
