These Policy Statements reflect the concerns of ECA members to the above-stated issues and offer recommendations for ways in which the Department and Congress can work with local governments to address these issues.  These Policy Statements should be used to facilitate further discussion with the Department, the Environmental Protection Agency, states and local governments throughout the DOE complex in order to develop solutions to our joint areas of concern.

The Policy Statements were revised by the Policy Review Committee and adopted by the ECA Board of Directors on March 5, 2004.
