ECA’s members are focused on all issues affecting local communities within the DOE complex. Our policies are grouped into four categories that we believe must be addressed for continued success of DOE and NNSA programs, including economic and safety priorities related to federal missions in respective communities:
- Local Governments as Intergovernmental Partners
- Economic Impacts on Communities
- Environmental Cleanup
- Nuclear Energy and Waste Management
These policies help facilitate discussion with DOE, the Environmental Protection Agency, states, and local governments within the DOE complex to develop solutions to our concerns. For more information, download our policy handbook.
Part of ECA's mission involves championing our policies to federal agencies, Congress, and the public. This mission is advanced by writing letters, making presentations, and working in coalition with other groups to advocate on behalf of Energy communities.
